In the Summer of 2010 Callaghan packed up her life in London and moved to Atlanta to record with Grammy Nominee Shawn Mullins.  Mullins had heard her music online.  After being knocked out by her voice and songs, he agreed to produce her debut album.

Callaghan performs live on piano and guitar.  Her music blends the sounds of Folk, Americana and Pop.  Her rich and haunting vocals are regularly compared to Sarah McLachlan and Emmy Lou Harris.

In the UK she was a regular at London’s top singer-songwriter venues, The National Theatre and Ivy Club.  Since making her home in the USA she has played shows and festivals across 21 states, opened Shawn’s US tour, secured TV and Radio appearances and been in the studio recording her debut album.

That album, Life in Full Colour, was completed in June.  A limited 1,000 edition preview release of the record sold out within a couple of weeks of being offered to Callaghan’s fans through her website and at shows. The Yellow Kites are Kendall Ludwig (Indianapolis folk-rock artist and from the U.S. band, The Stories of Clockwork) and Erina Ludwig (guitar and vocals).  The husband and wife duo have brought together the sounds of classic folk from America to Ireland to East Africa.  From upbeat humour-laden songs to those with reflective lyrics played out in their voices and interwoven with the dulcimer and guitar;  their music has brought much needed diversity in a heavily saturated scene.

The band’s name comes from the feeling you get when wind tickles your bare arms on an autumn day.  This coupled with the laughter of children playing and a love for the colour yellow, The Yellow Kites simply hope to reintroduce the love of music, sound, life and people back into places where it’s gone missing.

The Yellow Kites have played shows in London, Indianapolis and Pohang, South Korea and has just finished their first album.

Australian singer/songwriter Martine Locke has never worked a 9 to 5 job. She has never worn a skirt to work. She has never had straight hair. She has never played the tuba.  She has had only one dream her entire life.
To play music.  Martine Locke spent the first part of her life on the run from the police. Her father, wanted by the Sydney police, became the living, breathing embodiment of Australian convict history when he gathered up his family and evaded jail time by hiding in the Australian outback. (read more)

Mike Hayes was born and raised in Indiana, and he grew up in a house full of music.  At an early age he discovered his older brother’s (and parents’) record collections, and developed a love of classic rock and country music from the 60s and 70s.  By the time he reached high school he was playing guitar and learning to write songs.  Later on he attended Ball State and played in a few cover bands, but continued to work on songwriting.
In 1995 he joined an original rock band from Muncie called The Common.  For the next few years The Common performed all over Indiana and the surrounding area.  They played for appreciative crowds from Boston to LA, and opened for headliners like The Spin Doctors, Sammy Hagar, The Who, and Robert Plant.  They also released 4 full-length CDs of their original Midwestern power-pop on their own label.   Their last release Live Tonight is available on iTunes.
Mike lives in Irvington with his wife Tricia and their 2 children.  He still writes songs and occasionally performs with The Common.

Sweet and soulful is the sound of alt-country’sSteff Mahan. With a voice that is pure and powerful and lyrics that are heart-crafted and rock-solid, it’s hard not to get hooked on the emotional truth that comes out of this born songwriter’s mouth.

Steff’s self-titled debut album and her second release, 42.50, both garnered national attention, creating a coast-to-coast fan base from LA to New York. It was famed New York DJ Jim Kerr who said, “you’ll soon be hearing the name Steff Mahan” during a live performance and interview on Sirius Satellite Radio. Billboard’s Mike Gionet called Steff’s mix of rock, roots, folk and country “an entertaining can’t-miss performance.”

Cari Ray’s songs sound authentic because they are. Born into a musical family and raised on a rural Indiana farm, her musical roots were planted in bluegrass, blues & southern gospel. And while her style lands solidly in the Roots/Americana category, flavors of her early influences peek through in her songs. The Cash-esque “Red Line” will take you rattling down the tracks with a jilted lover while the ballad “Lighting” will stir you with a story about passionate love with poor timing. Whether relaying triumph or tragedy, her songs have a universal quality that allows the listener to effortlessly drop into the story and live it for him or herself.
